Integration Engineer
At cardfactory, we're looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join our IT team and play a key role in connecting the systems that power our business. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of integration projects, ensuring critical applications and platforms communicate effectively, reliably and securely across the organisation.
Working closely with the Integration Manager, IT Operations, Business Analysts, Architects and project delivery teams, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and supporting integrations that underpin key business processes. You'll also help troubleshoot issues, enhance existing integrations and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology landscape.
Based in Wakefield, this role offers hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working across multiple technologies and making a meaningful impact on business performance.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for designing, developing and implementing integrations between a range of business-critical systems, including ERP platforms, ecommerce applications, point-of-sale solutions and other enterprise technologies. Working as part of a collaborative integration team, you'll support the full integration lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, deployment, monitoring and ongoing optimisation.
The role will involve proactively monitoring integrations, investigating incidents and working closely with IT Operations teams to diagnose and resolve issues. You'll identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and scalability whilst ensuring integrations continue to meet evolving business requirements.
You'll also be responsible for producing and maintaining technical documentation, including integration designs, technical specifications, deployment procedures and support materials. Alongside project delivery work, you'll contribute to reducing technical debt and supporting the continuous improvement of our integration estate.

Working with stakeholders across the business, you'll provide technical expertise and guidance throughout integration projects, helping to deliver robust, high-quality solutions that support cardfactory's continued growth and digital transformation.
What We're Looking For
- Experience designing, developing and supporting integrations within an enterprise environment
- Strong experience with integration platforms and middleware technologies, with Boomi experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of integration patterns, REST APIs, API development principles and enterprise integration best practices
- Experience working with API gateways, messaging or queue-based technologies, and integrating business-critical enterprise systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
