Integration Engineer – Ecommerce Platforms
Remote – UK
£55,000 – £70,000 + 20% bonus
My client is looking for a hands-on Integration Engineer to help build, improve and support the connections between a range of ecommerce and operational platforms.
Sitting within the engineering team, you'll work across APIs, webhooks, backend services and data flows, connecting ecommerce with ERP, warehouse, fulfilment and other third-party systems.
This is a hands-on technical role rather than a purely configuration or support position. You'll be involved throughout the lifecycle – understanding requirements, designing integrations, building solutions and supporting them in production.
The role
- Design, build and maintain integrations between ecommerce and operational systems
- Develop and consume REST/GraphQL APIs and webhooks
- Build backend services using JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js or similar
- Work with data flows covering orders, customers, products, inventory and fulfilment
- Integrate ecommerce platforms with ERP, WMS, fulfilment and third-party systems
- Diagnose integration failures, data discrepancies and production issues
- Improve monitoring, reliability and scalability across existing integrations
- Work with engineering and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

About you
- Hands-on experience building system integrations
- Strong experience working with APIs, webhooks and third-party platforms
- Backend development experience using JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js or similar
- Comfortable working with data flowing between multiple systems
- Experience owning integrations from requirements/design through to production
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience within ecommerce or another high-volume transactional environment would be particularly useful. Exposure to Shopify / Shopify Plus, NetSuite, ERP/WMS platforms, Celigo or another iPaaS would be a major advantage, but isn't essential.
The key requirement is someone who can actually build integrations, rather than purely configure or support them.
Fully remote UK | £55,000 – £70,000 + 20% bonus
