Job Description
AJ Bell is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Integration Engineering team.
The Integration Engineering team builds and evolves strategic capabilities that enable software engineering teams across AJ Bell to deliver reliable, scalable and observable solutions. The team has successfully established our ETL data streaming platform and is taking on a new capability to evolve critical business processes.
You will join a team that is established, skilled and highly collaborative. Your focus is to consistently increase team performance and pace of delivery. Your challenge is to increase technical depth, develop future technical leaders and expand our influence across Technology Services, working closely with product and operational teams to improve pace and quality.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will be responsible for coaching and developing engineers, but you'll also be contributing to technical discussions, supporting architectural decision-making and helping to shape how our engineering capabilities evolve.

- Owning a strategic engineering capability that influences how engineering is done across AJ Bell.

Technical skills
- Deep background in software engineering.
- Experience in software and system integration.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture.
- Experience in operating critical production services.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture.
- Confident in technical design and discussion.
- Experience owning and evolving engineering platforms used by multiple development teams.
Desirable skills
- AWS serverless technologies.
