Construction work is more and more left to TCN workers who are hired for specific work tasks and for unskilled work by (sub-)contractors. For many TCNs, construction work is the entrance to the labour market. Because of differences in culture, language barriers and knowledge about national policies, these workers have a higher potential to be exposed to work-related risk factors and labour market exclusion.
The In2C project aims to facilitate and foster early and effective integration of TCNs in the labour market in the construction sector through an integrated training, which targets to enhance host country language skills in their job field, and networking with employers who will actively be engaged in In2C activities.

At least 1000 people (400 TCNs, 400 employers & 200 members of VET providers, NGOs and other stakeholders) will benefit directly through the following activities:
- Awareness raising activities and identification of key stakeholders participants through local events, website and dissemination materials
- Identification of good practices (desk research), labour market needs and barriers (field research) in the construction sector
- In2C Training Package for TCNs, E-platform/E-tools and SOnAT. The In2C training package aims to improve language skills in technical terminology and support knowledge on national and European policies (e.g., duties and obligations at the workplace, hygiene and safety issues). Pilot training of 400 TCNs will be implemented both face-to-face and on the job, while the trained TCNs will have the opportunity to assess their skills through an online assessment tool and receive a certificate, which could be entered or uploaded in relevant EU platforms
- Employer mobilisation interventions and networking for matching employers with TCNs through focus interventions and innovative tools (virtual network, communication platform, workshops, seminars, focus groups, conference)
