The position plays a key role in coordinating technical reviews, managing product builds, translating downstream and build feedback into actionable wafer learning, and supporting successful transition into the released manufacturing environment. The role works closely with Development, Process Engineering, Quality, Operations, Design and other downstream teams to ensure new products are introduced, qualified and launched to deliver to Seagate Springtown's new product requirement.

You will

  • Support new product development and integration activity from early build learning through manufacturing release and ramp readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional technical reviews to align product requirements, wafer process capability, downstream feedback, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Support material tracking, prioritisation categorization, product configurations, and allocation of material to enable build execution, experimental learning plans, and downstream customer qual and initial ramp requirements.
  • Lead or support wafer-related root cause investigations arising from new product builds, downstream feedback, or product performance excursions.
  • Use data analysis techniques to identify product performance improvements, support wafer related root cause investigations, risks and complete critical build reviews.
  • Project Manage tasks and priorities based on new product qualifications, technology modules, build schedules, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop new innovations both in new product technology launch and new business processes to accelerate new product deployments and qualifications at Springtown.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
