Model: Hybrid
Rate: £510/day

Job Description: Jira & ServiceNow Integration Developer/Consultant
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Jira-ServiceNow Integration Developer to design, develop, and support integrations between Atlassian Jira/Jira Service Management and ServiceNow platforms. The role will focus on automating workflows, synchronizing tickets, incidents, changes, and service requests, and delivering seamless enterprise integrations using APIs and middleware technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement bidirectional integrations between Jira and ServiceNow.
- Develop REST/SOAP API-based integrations and automation workflows.
- Configure ticket synchronization for Incidents, Problems, Changes, Tasks, and Service Requests.
- Build custom scripts, business rules, Flow Designer workflows, Script Includes, and integration components within ServiceNow.
- Configure Jira automations, webhooks, and workflow transitions.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define integration architecture.
- Ensure security, audit, compliance, and data governance requirements are met.
- Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Support UAT, production deployments, and ongoing platform enhancements.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong ServiceNow development experience (ITSM preferred).
- Experience with third-party integrations and REST APIs.
- ServiceNow Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts.
- JavaScript development expertise.
- Jira Administration and Jira Service Management.
- Experience with Jira webhooks, automation rules, and workflow configuration.
- API integration, JSON/XML payload handling.
- Agile / Scrum delivery experience.

Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow CSA/CAD certification.
- Experience with Integration Hub.
- Experience with middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, etc.).
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience in enterprise transformation and service management programmes.

- Jira Epic/Story/Task creation from ServiceNow requests.
- Incident and Change synchronization between platforms.
- Automated status updates and two-way ticket synchronization.
- Integration of Agile development teams with IT Operations workflows.
- CMDB and asset-related automation.

- Jira to ServiceNow ticket migration experience.
- ServiceNow API enablement and integration architecture experience.
