Integration Specialist (Tibco, IBM Sterling and API’s)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Integration Specialist (Tibco, IBM Sterling and API’s.) based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain complex integration solutions within a global logistics environment.
You will work on connecting enterprise systems, optimizing data flows, and enabling seamless communication between platforms and external partners.
The position combines technical expertise in integration technologies with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
You will contribute to mission-critical projects involving APIs, EDI, messaging protocols, and enterprise application integration.
Working in a fully remote setup, you will collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Accountabilities:
The Integration Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions that connect business applications, logistics systems, and external partners. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage integration projects in complex IT environments.
- Design and develop Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Business-to-Business (B2B) integration solutions.
- Build and maintain integrations involving logistics platforms, transport management systems, and carrier systems.
- Create and maintain interface specifications, mappings, and technical documentation.
- Develop and manage integrations using technologies such as APIs, EDI, XML, JSON, and other message formats.
- Work with integration platforms including TIBCO, IBM Sterling, and MuleSoft.
- Configure and support communication protocols such as SOAP, REST, HTTP/HTTPS, AS2, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, OFTP, and MQ Series.
- Analyze integration requirements and assess risks and potential impacts of technical changes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure reliable data exchange and system connectivity.
- Support release cycles, deployment processes, and ongoing improvements to integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and contribute to continuous optimization of integration performance.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate has experience delivering enterprise integration solutions and a strong understanding of integration architectures, communication protocols, and data exchange formats. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with international technical teams.
- 2–5 years of experience working within complex IT organizations, delivering EAI and B2B integration solutions.
- Experience designing and building enterprise-level integrations.
- Previous experience with Transport Management System integrations.
- Experience supporting carrier integrations is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of integration concepts, including B2B and EAI architectures.
- Hands-on experience creating interface specifications and technical mappings.
- Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, and various flat file formats.
- Experience with TIBCO, IBM Sterling, and/or MuleSoft platforms.
- Knowledge of API technologies and integration standards.
- Familiarity with integration communication protocols including SOAP, REST, FTP/SFTP, AS2, OFTP, and MQ Series.
- Understanding of software release cycles and deployment processes.
- Ability to analyze technical risks, evaluate impacts, and propose effective solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
- Very high level of English proficiency.
