Integration Test Lead

Location: This is a Hybrid working role. Whiteley, Hampshire

Clearance Required: This role will require attainment and maintenance of SC clearance.

General Program Information and/or Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Integration Tester to join our team to help us deliver a large-scale systems integration programme.

As part of a multi-discipline team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of test documentation and execution, as assigned by the Test Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with multiple teams, and with Customer stakeholders to design, create, and execute tests. The role will require the ability to effectively communicate with all members of the team, ranging from technical personnel to programme leadership.

The role includes executing tests across a variety of software products, their interfaces and network & infrastructure configurations, and identifying and managing resulting defects.

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Generating and reviewing Test Plans, Designs, and Reports, working with suppliers and senior stakeholders
  • Generating Test Cases by reviewing requirements and design documentation, liaising with SMEs
  • Documenting test results and any defects/reporting progress, risks & issues
  • Investigating issues and working with suppliers to identify root cause and resolution
  • Analysing data, large datasets, and test evidence from suppliers to show compliance to requirements
  • Data analysis of interface messaging, comparing legacy data to new systems
  • Identifying improvements in new and existing processes
  • Supporting Automation team to develop regression test pack

What Does Leidos Need from Me?

  • Good Test experience - including ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing
  • Ability to work onsite with the team
  • Excellent understanding of Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional, Non-Functional, and Integration Testing
  • Proven track record in testing Software solutions for 1st (1GL) through 3rd (3GL) generation languages (e.g. ADA 83/95, C, C++)
  • Experience of Waterfall and V development models
  • Experience using Linux type operating systems
  • Experience using environments related to 1GL through 3GL generation Languages
  • Able to estimate and plan own immediate tasks and manage their completion
  • Good oral and written communication skills, confident in technical and non-technical discussions
  • Good time management and organisational skills – ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience of creating Test Cases based on requirements and design documents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with real-time and/or safety-related software
  • Knowledge of other delivery methodologies, Agile development (e.g. Scrum)
  • Knowledge of modelling languages (e.g. SysML, UML)
  • Knowledge of procedural and object-orientated software development languages (e.g. Ada, C, C++ & Java)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python)
  • Knowledge of COTS integration technologies (e.g. Apache)
  • Working with large-scale and complex integration programmes
  • Knowledge of NoMagic Cameo/IBM DOORS, Atlassian toolset, TestRail or equivalent tools
  • ATM knowledge would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite

£47,600.00-£61,000.00
