Overview
The Custom System Integration Consultant role focuses on delivering technical integration and implementation expertise for custom solutions within Mitel product deployments, working independently to enhance user experience through innovative combined solutions. The position involves managing the complete solution lifecycle from requirements analysis through in-service support, covering areas such as Contact Center integrations, custom solutions and reporting, Professional Services Tools configuration, IVR web interfaces, workflow automation, and API-based integrations with Mitel and third-party applications. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision while handling multiple aspects of custom development and deployment projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyse integration requests, engaging in dialog with customers to fully understand their expectations and produce detailed Statements of Work
- Evaluate technical feasibility based on available interfaces exposed by Mitel and third-party solutions
- Estimate the effort associated to custom developments, on which official quotes will be based
- Execute project-based deliverables:
- Assist in creating and obtaining customer approval of the Solution Design Document (SDD), which includes:
- Inter-system messaging formats and required protocols
- Database schema and field definitions
- Process & call flow charts
- Develop custom solutions or reporting applications per approved SDD specifications
- Deliver the integration components along with installation, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting instructions
- Complete installation of custom solution system software and conduct unit testing
- Provide system and end user support during testing phases
- Deliver in-service support per the Statement of Work commitments
- Provide technical assistance for Custom Solution Integration Projects on an individual basis
- Ensure front-line customer satisfaction by maintaining professional and effective relationships with all internal and external customers
- Submit all required documentation, including activity time logs and weekly expense reports
- Lead demonstrations on proof of concept and finalized developments

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Design (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in custom solution software development
- Proficiency in database interactions and management via SQL, and MS SQL database structures and architecture
- Experience writing application code in .NET C++/C#, JavaScript, Java, HTML, SOAP, WSDL, RESTful API/web services, and XML
- Familiarity with the modern telephony industry, ideally on Mitel Contact Center and UC solutions
- Experience with internet payment gateways, CRM, and WFM systems is an asset
- Exposure to custom reporting development; experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus
- Agile development lifecycle experience is a plus
- Strong general knowledge of Windows OS, server administration, productivity tools such as MS Office, and cloud services such as Azure
