Integration Engineer
Furniturebox is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to support a major programme of systems integration and business transformation initiatives, including the ongoing ERP programme and wider digital platform development.
This role will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining and supporting integrations between key business systems, marketplaces, customer platforms and third-party services. Working closely with the Head of Technical Operations, Project Team, Data Team and business stakeholders, the successful candidate will play a critical role in improving automation, data flow, operational efficiency and system scalability.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within eCommerce environments and a proven track record delivering integrations using iPaaS technologies.
Experience with Patchworks iPaaS is highly desirable, although experience with alternative integration platforms will also be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities
Integration Development
- Design, build, test and deploy integrations across the organisation’s technology landscape.
- Develop and maintain integrations between ERP, eCommerce, marketplace, customer service and third-party systems.
- Create scalable, resilient and supportable integration solutions.
- Monitor integration performance and proactively identify improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures and data issues.

ERP Programme Support
- Support integration delivery as part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP programme.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful integration of critical business systems.
- Assist with data mapping, transformation and process automation activities.
- Support testing, deployment and post-implementation activities.
Business Collaboration
- Work closely with operational stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Translate business processes into technical integration solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams, software vendors and implementation partners.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Support and Documentation
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Develop support procedures and operational runbooks.
- Assist with knowledge transfer and capability development within the Technical Operations team.
Technical Design
- Produce technical specifications and solution designs.
- Define integration architecture and best practices.
- Ensure integrations follow appropriate security, reliability and scalability standards.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering integrations within an eCommerce environment.
- Experience working with iPaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of APIs, web services and system integration principles.
- Experience integrating ERP, marketplace and third-party business systems.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON and XML data structures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and business functions.
- Ability to work independently and manage technical delivery with minimal supervision.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
