Job Description

Our purpose is to bring together people, energy and markets to power and navigate a changing world. In a time of constant change and possibility we need new talent to pursue commercial opportunities, fuelled by world-class insight and expertise. We’re always striving for more innovative digital solutions, sustainable outcomes and closer collaboration across our company and beyond, and you could be part of that too.

About the Role

At bp, we believe that better information leads to better decisions. We're looking for an Intelligence Advisor to join our Business Intelligence team, supporting major commercial activities by uncovering insights, identifying risks, and highlighting opportunities that help inform strategic business decisions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a naturally curious and analytical professional who enjoys solving complex problems, conducting in-depth research, and turning information into actionable intelligence.

Whether your experience comes from a corporate, government, risk, investigations, consulting, compliance, or intelligence background, we'd love to hear how your skills could contribute to our team.

Please note that roles based out of SJS or Sunbury will move to Timber Square, Southwark, from Q4 2027

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conducting research and intelligence gathering from a broad range of open sources.
  • Identifying and assessing commercial, political, regulatory, reputational, ethical, and sanctions-related risks.
  • Supporting intelligence projects by developing tailored collection approaches and working with established intelligence networks.
  • Producing clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reports for business stakeholders.
  • Analysing complex information from multiple sources and presenting findings in an accessible way.
  • Creating visual products such as timelines, link charts, and data summaries to support analysis.
  • Partnering with colleagues to understand business needs and deliver intelligence that supports decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
