Experienced Intelligence Professionals - Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, hybrid working with three days per week in our London office

Our Intelligence Teams deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting across complex global portfolios, combining linguistic expertise, regional knowledge, structured research methods, and rigorous analytical tradecraft. As we continue to grow our intelligence capability, we are seeking experienced intelligence professionals to join our expanding teams.
We are looking for individuals with proven experience in intelligence analysis, open-source research, regional analysis, investigative research, or related fields who can contribute immediately to high-quality intelligence production.
We are recruiting across multiple regional portfolios and are particularly interested in candidates with strong expertise in areas including the Middle East, Africa, Russia/Eurasia, South Asia, and the Indo-Pacific, alongside relevant language capabilities.
Whether your background is within government, defence, security, journalism, risk analysis, academia, or another intelligence-focused environment, we are interested in hearing from experienced professionals who can bring analytical judgement, curiosity, and a commitment to producing high-quality intelligence.
The Opportunity
Successful candidates will join PCL’s Intelligence Teams in roles aligned with their experience, expertise, and career stage.
Depending on background and experience, responsibilities may include:
- Conducting advanced open-source intelligence research and collection.
- Producing high-quality intelligence reporting and assessments.
- Developing regional expertise and monitoring emerging geopolitical, security, and socio-economic developments.
- Analysing complex information environments and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Translating and assessing foreign-language material where applicable.
- Supporting intelligence products including written reports, assessments, briefings, timelines, and visual outputs.
- Mentoring staff and contributing to team development.
- Improving research methodologies, workflows, and analytical processes.

About You
You are an experienced intelligence professional who understands the importance of accurate collection, rigorous analysis, and clear communication. You have experience operating in environments where information quality, judgement, and attention to detail matter. You are comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and contributing to a collaborative intelligence team.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrable experience within intelligence, OSINT, analysis, research, security, defence, government, journalism, risk, or a related field.
- Experience producing written analytical outputs for professional audiences.
- Strong understanding of source evaluation and information validation.
- Ability to identify relevant information, assess credibility, and develop meaningful insight.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Professional curiosity and willingness to engage deeply with complex issues.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Regional expertise and language capability in relevant regions.
- Experience within government, military, intelligence, security, think tanks, or geopolitical risk organisations.
- Experience mentoring analysts or leading research activity.
- Familiarity with structured analytical techniques, geospatial intelligence, or intelligence databases.

Additional Information
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. We are unable to sponsor visa applications for this role.
- Hybrid working arrangement with three days per week required in our Central London office.
- Staff may work remotely for 3-4 weeks during designated PCL remote working periods in the summer and Christmas periods. Working from abroad is not permitted.
- Access to internal training opportunities to support professional development.

- Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a written exercise as part of the recruitment process.
