Job Title: Intelligence Researcher

Reporting To: Intelligence and Investigations Manager

Term: Permanent

Full/Part-Time: Full time

Location: Currently based in Roehampton (office move in Q4 2026, remaining in South West London)

ITIA Overview

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) is an independent body established in 2021 by International Governing Bodies of Tennis (WT, ATP, WTA and Grand Slams) to promote, encourage, enhance and safeguard the integrity of professional tennis worldwide. The ITIA administers the Tennis Anti-Corruption and Tennis Anti-Doping Programmes. For more information about the ITIA and its work, please visit www.itia.tennis.

Purpose of the Role

This role will sit within the Intelligence and Investigations Department and supports the Intelligence and Investigations Manager and Intelligence Researchers in managing the CLUE database, responding to and triaging enquiries received through the ITIA mailbox, and assisting Investigators and Analysts with enquiries and investigations into potential rule violations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake data entry and record management within the ITIA Investigation and Intelligence database (CLUE) in support of the objectives of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Rules (TACR) and Tennis Anti-Doping Rules (TADR).
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records within the ITIA no credentials database.
  • Produce accurate datasets, intelligence products, and statistical information to support operational, tactical and strategic decision making.
  • Conduct bespoke database research and generate reports, providing analysis, interpretation and actionable insights from your findings.
  • Undertake open-source intelligence (OSINT) research to support intelligence development, risk assessment and ongoing investigations.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy and integrity and effective management of data held within the ITIA intelligence and investigation databases.
  • Support Investigators, Intelligence Researchers and Analysts by providing timely research, intelligence and information to assist enquiries and investigations into potential breaches of the TACR and TADR.
  • Contribute to the triage, assessment and management of enquiries and reports received through the ITIA mailbox, ensuring information is accurately recorded and appropriately escalated.
  • Liaise in a fast-paced environment directly with players and other individuals within the sport regarding reports, enquiries and regulatory matters, providing guidance and support to help prevent potential rule breaches and ensure compliance with the TACR and TADR.
  • Contribute to the Intelligence Risk Assessment process, helping to identify emerging threats, trends and risks and informing the ITIA’s strategic priorities.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of intelligence products, processes and information management practices to support the team’s objectives.
  • Adhere to data protection, confidentiality and information security requirements when handling sensitive intelligence and investigation material.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accurately manage data entry across multiple internal database systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a high professional standard.
  • Experience of conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and data collection.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands independently.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, enabling the effective management of multiple work streams and deadlines.
  • Experience in collecting, recording and managing information and intelligence in support of investigative activity.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrates a high level of personal, technical, and information security awareness.
  • Understanding of sportsbook operations and remote (online) sports betting markets.
  • Basic understanding of database structures and information management systems.
  • Experience of using CLUE case management and intelligence database.
  • Basic understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
  • Foreign language proficiency.
  • Degree level education.
