Intelligent Automation Engineer

Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office (London)

Permanent

Paying up to £100k + 10% Bonus

We are currently working with a leading organisation that is investing heavily in AI, Automation and Digital Transformation.

They are looking to hire an Intelligent Automation Engineer to join a growing team and help deliver AI-powered solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate complex processes and support large-scale business transformation initiatives.

The Role

This is not a traditional RPA role.

The position sits at the intersection of:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Intelligent Automation
  • Document Processing
  • Workflow Design
  • Data Engineering
  • Business Transformation

You will be responsible for identifying, designing and implementing intelligent automation solutions that help streamline business processes whilst maintaining strong governance and regulatory controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build AI-powered automation solutions across business operations
  • Develop intelligent document-processing and information-extraction solutions
  • Implement AI-enabled workflows using modern automation platforms
  • Build integrations across enterprise systems and data sources
  • Support large-scale review, remediation and operational transformation programmes
  • Develop management information and reporting solutions
  • Apply AI governance, validation and quality controls
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and solve operational challenges
  • Support the wider adoption of AI across the organisation

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering AI and Intelligent Automation solutions
  • Generative AI, LLMs and AI-powered workflow experience
  • Document Intelligence, OCR or intelligent document processing
  • Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry or similar AI platforms
  • Process automation and workflow orchestration
  • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) experience beneficial
  • Strong data manipulation and transformation capability
  • Experience working with APIs and systems integration
  • Python or other scripting/programming languages beneficial
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience operating within regulated environments highly desirable
