About the Role
Make the first conversation count - Change a young person’s story.
When a child or young person goes missing, what they experience and what happens when they return — truly matters.
That’s where you come in.
We are looking for a keen, energetic, and tenacious practitioner to deliver timely Return Home Conversations with children across our borough.
This role is about more than asking questions — it’s about listening, building trust quickly, and being genuinely curious about the push and pull factors behind a child’s experience.
You will work confidently with children, families, and professionals, collating what is shared to assess risk, strengthen safety and help shape best possible outcomes.
Your ability to connect and hear what might not be easily said will be central to changing trajectories.
If you believe every child deserves to be listened to — especially when they return — we would love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
