Working Hours: Full-time
Job Type: Contract – Inside IR35
Contract Length: 6 months
Daily Rate: £450
Location: UK – Hybrid, 2 days per week at your nearest office
About the Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Interaction Designer to help design and improve accessible, public-facing digital services.
The role will involve working across existing websites and future digital developments, improving how users find information, navigate content and complete key journeys. You will work closely with research, content, product and engineering teams to turn user needs into clear and effective digital experiences.
This role requires someone with strong website design experience who can combine usability, accessibility and visual design while working within a large, multidisciplinary environment.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for an established recruiter who can demonstrate a strong track record of personally generating and converting new business, rather than solely managing vacancies provided through an existing desk.
You should be confident in developing your own market, opening conversations with new organisations and turning those relationships into long-term recruitment partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Design clear and intuitive experiences for public-facing, content-rich websites.
- Develop page structures, navigation, user journeys and task flows.
- Create responsive designs that work effectively across devices and accessibility needs.
- Produce prototypes to explore, communicate and test design approaches.
- Translate user research and content requirements into practical design improvements.
- Design experiences that work effectively for both website visitors and content editors.
- Maintain organised Figma files, reusable assets and supporting design documentation.
- Work closely with product, research, content, development and accessibility specialists.
- Test and iterate designs based on research, feedback and technical constraints.
- Improve existing live services while contributing to longer-term platform development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
