Interface Developer Intern
We are adding an Interface Developer Intern to our developer team to help us build and refine the digital tools that keep businesses moving. Currently, our partner is a London-based logistics firm that needs better ways to manage their complex inventory data. In this role, you will be right in the middle of that work, building the dashboards and internal screens that their staff will use every day. This is a fully remote position where you will focus on making software that is easy to use and hard to break.

Instead, we build the practical tools that teams use to do their jobs: admin panels, CRM integrations, and database solutions. Our clients come to us because they are tired of messy spreadsheets and want software that actually works the way they do.

We give our clients fixed quotes, show them what we have built in weekly demos, and hand over every part of the project when we are done. The Role
As an Interface Developer Intern, you will be working on the parts of the software that users see and interact with. You will not just be making things look nice: you will be making sure they are functional. This means taking mockups and turning them into real, working React components. You will spend time cleaning up legacy UI code, fixing layout bugs that only show up on certain browsers, and ensuring that form fields talk to the database correctly.
This is a hands-on role. You might spend one afternoon building a custom data table for an inventory list and the next morning troubleshooting why a dropdown menu isn't behaving. You will participate in our weekly demos and receive direct feedback from the senior developers. This is a paid position, and we offer a competitive rate for the internship level in this market.
What You Bring
- A solid understanding of the basics: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Comfort with the idea of working on internal business tools rather than consumer apps.
- The ability to write clear, simple English for documentation and team updates.
- A patient approach to troubleshooting and fixing small visual bugs.
- Basic familiarity with how a website connects to a back-end server or an API.
- Good organizational habits to keep track of your tasks in a remote setup.
- A willingness to ask questions when a technical problem gets stuck.
Helpful Background
- Exposure to React through school projects, bootcamps, or personal learning.
- Experience using Git and GitHub to save and share your code.
- An interest in learning how to use CSS frameworks to build layouts quickly.
- Basic knowledge of how to use design tools to inspect layouts and assets.
- Familiarity with Node.js or the command line.
