Engineering services are delivered for the px group by the engineering consultancy division px Engineering Consultants Limited (“PXECL”). The team comprises of managers, senior engineers, engineers and designers that have direct experience of construction projects and operating facilities, as well as exceptional engineering expertise.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for an Interface Manager based at Saltend Chemicals Park.

The primary function of the role is to manage the interface between our established sites, including Saltend Chemicals Park, Stockton Head Office, and other Group locations as well as liaising with supporting business units in Sunderland and Adlington to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of business requirements.

The Interface Manager will coordinate the execution and delivery of high-profile projects and programmes for the pxE business across the Saltend site and other locations within the Group portfolio, ensuring activities are aligned with company policies, processes, standards and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key link between site-based delivery teams, central functions and the wider Group, ensuring effective communication, accountability and alignment across the portfolio.
  • Determine Clients requirements and translate them into actionable plans for the central delivery team. Act as the main point of contact for Clients.
  • Liaise closely with Group / Site leadership teams to ensure our customers satisfaction.
  • Ensure the portfolio of projects are meeting business and group expectations.
  • Establish and control relationships relating to the portfolio of group projects to enable projects to deliver to expected business outcomes and client needs.
  • Identify and manage risk.
  • Deal with changes to scope, additional work orders and expanded client needs.
  • Grow relationships and interfacing with sites to maximise potential opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering or Project Management discipline, or equivalent.
  • Formal project management qualification (PMP or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar Interface / Project Manager role.
  • Project management experience in a construction environment.
  • Extensive client/relationship/account management experience.
  • Business management experience, able to connect different parts of the organisation and ensuring commercial/business priorities are delivered.
  • Effective at planning, monitoring and reviewing.
  • Able to understand engineering requirements, specifications & drawings.
