Interim Accounts Assistant | International Advisory Agency | London

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing international professional services/advisory firm undergoing an exciting period of expansion. Having established a strong global presence, the business continues to scale its operations across multiple regions and is strengthening its finance function to support this growth.

With offices across Europe and North America, the London team operates within a collaborative and fast-paced environment that combines the agility of a growing business with the stability of an established international organisation. They are now seeking a proactive and detail-focused finance professional to join the team quickly and provide essential support during a busy operational period.

This position will begin as a temporary contract, covering 1-3 months with the potential to extend thereafter.

The Role

Working closely with the Management Accountant and wider finance team, this role will play an important part in maintaining smooth day-to-day financial operations across multiple international entities.

The successful candidate will take ownership of accounts payable processes, bank reconciliations, and expense management, while acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers. The position offers strong exposure to global finance operations and the opportunity to broaden responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

  • Daily bank Reconciliations.
  • Managing invoices, expenses, and company credit card transactions across international entities.
  • Monitoring shared finance inboxes and coordinating responses to queries.
  • Assisting with payment runs across UK and international entities.
  • Reviewing expense submissions and ensuring accurate coding across departments and budgets.
  • Ensuring approvals are obtained in line with internal policies.
  • Supporting weekly reviews of aged payables reports and identifying outstanding items.
  • Flagging urgent or exceptional payments to senior finance stakeholders.
  • Providing ad-hoc support for the wider finance team.

  • Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Payable role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very detail orientated and analytical.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • Ability to hit the ground running.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience using Payhawk and/or NetSuite.
  • Exposure to international or multi-entity finance environments.

Job Details

  • Day Rate: £150-£175 per day
  • Contract Length: 3 months
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: London/Hybrid (3 days per week in office)
