Interim Banking & Finance Solicitor (Corporate Lending) | 6 Months | London

We are currently working with a leading international law firm seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded London team on an initial six-month interim assignment, starting ASAP.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of high-value, complex corporate lending transactions within a collaborative and market-leading practice.

The Role

Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of financing transactions, from term sheet stage through to completion and post-closing matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating facility agreements and intercreditor agreements
  • Advising clients on a range of corporate lending matters
  • Negotiating security documentation and coordinating transaction execution
  • Managing multi-jurisdictional transactions and liaising with local counsel
  • Leading negotiations and client calls with counterparties
  • Supervising junior lawyers and trainees
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting business development initiatives across the practice
  • Working alongside a globally integrated Banking & Finance team
  • Utilising AI tools and technology solutions to enhance transaction delivery

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Qualified Solicitor with strong post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance
  • Significant experience advising on corporate lending transactions in private practice
  • Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing complex and multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management abilities
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice
  • Experience mentoring junior lawyers and supervising trainees
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
