A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer to join its in-house legal team on a 12-month contract commencing in December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused lawyer to support a broad range of lending, financing and transactional matters within a highly regarded international business. The role offers significant exposure to cross-border work, senior stakeholders and complex financing transactions, while operating within a collaborative legal team.
The Opportunity
You will provide legal advice and transactional support across a variety of banking and finance matters, including:
- Corporate and commercial lending transactions
- Loan and facility documentation
- Multi-jurisdictional financing arrangements
- Credit and risk-related legal issues
- Negotiation and execution of financing documentation
- Advising internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory considerations
- Managing external counsel and coordinating with legal colleagues globally
- Supporting strategic business initiatives and regulatory projects

About You
Applications are welcomed from lawyers who possess:
- 2+ years PQE gained at a leading law firm, financial institution or comparable environment
- Strong grounding in banking, lending or finance transactions
- Experience drafting and negotiating loan and facility documentation
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different jurisdictions
- Strong commercial judgement and communication skills

Additional Experience of Interest
Whilst not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Trade finance
- Letters of Credit and related products
- Structured finance or asset-based lending
- Export finance
- Credit risk mitigation
- International banking or treasury environments
