twentyAI are supporting a global FinTech on a search for an Interim Business Risk Manager to join their Risk function on an initial 4-month basis.

This role will take ownership of risk incidents from identification through to resolution, run root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation across multiple teams.

Immediate start and Outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end management of risk incidents: logging, triage, investigation and closure
  • Lead or support root cause analysis on incidents, identifying underlying drivers rather than just symptoms
  • Coordinate cross-team remediation plans, tracking actions to completion and escalating slippage or blockers
  • Plan and run periodic control testing across business areas, assessing design and operating effectiveness
  • Document control testing results clearly and follow up on identified gaps or weaknesses with control owners
  • Maintain risk incident and control testing logs/registers, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Prepare clear, concise updates and MI for the wider risk/governance forums
  • Support the wider risk team with ad hoc risk assessments, thematic reviews and process improvements

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a risk, controls, compliance or operations role within financial services
  • Proven experience coordinating incident management, root cause analysis or remediation activity
  • Experience running or supporting control testing programmes
  • Strong organisational skills - able to manage multiple incidents/actions in parallel and keep things moving
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to coordinate colleagues across different teams and seniority levels
