Interim Business Unit Controller

To lead a team, manage and be accountable for all aspects of Business Unit strategy implementation and interaction with a set of customers within the off trade, to deliver targeted profit and ongoing company objectives in line with current brand and trading strategy.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop a Team of NAM/SNAM's across the off trade customers - Grocers, Discunters and Convenience
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of Customer strategies that are aligned to and support the delivery of the overall off trade channel strategy, objectives and goals.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Multi Functional Selling team for their customer portfolio and delivering all company KPI's
  • Responsible for pro-actively managing the delivery of in-year targets in line with brand and channel strategy through realising Opportunities whilst sharing vulnerabilities to mitigate in year Business Unit performance.
  • Responsible for driving cross functional contact strategy and to contribute to developing strategic long-term, sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Responsible for the line management and coaching of direct reports to facilitate their in-role, personal and career development

A successful Business Unit Controller should have:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or commercial role within the FMCG industry with off trade customers - grocers, discounters, convenience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid understanding of sales metrics and financial principles.
