Your new company

A global manufacturing business based in Wrexham is seeking an ambitious procurement professional to join their friendly team for an initial period of 6 months, with the potential for a permanent contract thereafter.

Your new role

The Buyer will work closely with the global procurement team to support day-to-day procurement and contract management activities. You will predominantly be working on indirect spend including facilities management, utilities and office supplies and you will build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will attend supplier meetings and you will collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement requirements, and advise on best routes to market which deliver the best value for money. Working on their SAP system, you will update records and ensure clean data, as well as chasing suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders which mitigates any manufacturing delays.

This role is based in the Wrexham office 3 days per week so you must be able to commit to the commute.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a Procurement role, such as a Buyer, Procurement Officer, Category Officer, etc.
  • Availability at short notice / to start in the next few weeks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Supplier relationship management skills
  • Experience using SAP
  • Able to commute to the office in Wrexham 3 days per week
