Interim Category Manager – HR Technology (12 months)
£750 per day Inside IR35 | London – 1–2 days per week | Interim Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Category Manager – HR Technology to join a major organisation and take ownership of strategic sourcing and commercial activity across a broad portfolio of HR systems and technology.
We are looking for a hands-on procurement professional with strong experience sourcing and negotiating HR Technology, with particular exposure to areas such as Workday, payroll systems, HRIS, recruitment technology, learning platforms and wider HR SaaS solutions. This is a high-profile role partnering closely with senior HR, Technology and Procurement stakeholders to deliver commercial value across complex and business-critical HR technology programmes.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and commercial negotiations across HR Technology and systems
- Manage strategic sourcing activity across Workday, payroll, HRIS and wider HR SaaS platforms
- Lead complex renewals, RFPs and supplier negotiations
- Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies across HR Technology
- Partner with senior HR, IT, Finance and Procurement stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and improved commercial and contractual terms
- Manage relationships with key global technology and HR systems suppliers
- Support major transformation and change programmes across the HR technology landscape

Ideal experience:
- Strong procurement/category management experience across HR Technology
- Demonstrable experience negotiating Workday and/or major payroll systems
- Broader exposure to HRIS, recruitment technology, learning platforms and HR SaaS
- Strong SaaS/software commercial negotiation experience
- Experience within banking, insurance, financial services or another highly regulated industry would be advantageous
- Comfortable operating in a complex, senior stakeholder environment
- Able to work autonomously and deliver at pace within an interim environment
