The Opportunity
Amber Valley is seeking an experienced Interim Chartered Surveyor to join its Estates team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property professional to support a varied commercial estate portfolio, delivering a broad range of general practice surveying services within a local authority environment.

- Managing property disposals, including preparing assets for auction.
- Negotiating lease renewals and conducting rent reviews.
- Undertaking asset valuations.
- Providing property information and support relating to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
- Supporting the refurbishment of industrial units.
- Delivering a range of general practice surveying duties across the Council's property portfolio.
Essential Requirements
- MRICS qualified (minimum requirement).
- Strong general practice surveying experience across commercial property.
- Demonstrable experience of property disposals, lease renewals, rent reviews and valuations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Desirable Requirements
- Registered Valuer (RICS).
- Previous experience working within a local authority or wider public sector environment.
- Knowledge of local government property management and asset strategies.
Working Arrangement
- Hybrid working.
- Inside IR35 contract.
- Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
