About the Role
Harvey Nash is delighted to be partnering with a major UK-based organisation undertaking a significant technology and digital transformation programme. We are seeking an experienced individual to lead enterprise architecture, software engineering, platforms and technology delivery capabilities across a complex, large-scale environment.
Reporting to the CIO
You will form part of the Technology leadership team and you take responsibility for shaping technology strategy, driving engineering excellence, modernisation of platforms and also ensuring all technology investments are aligned to business objectives.

- Define and execute technology architecture/ engineering strategy.
- Lead large multidisciplinary architecture teams.
- Drive technology modernisation and platform transformation initiatives.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to align technology and business priorities.
- Manage significant technology budgets and supplier relationships.
- Drive innovation while maintaining operational stability.
- Ensure delivery of complex enterprise-wide technology programmes.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Current experience leading Architecture and Engineering functions within a large, complex organisation.
- Extensive experience leading teams in excess of 50 multi-location/ globally.
- Strong Enterprise Architecture background with knowledge of business, application, data and technology architecture.
- Background working for large scale, dynamic private sector organisations; where customer experience is true competitive edge.
- Track record of leading large-scale digital and technology transformation programmes, Cloud first and AI.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud technologies and platform architectures.
- Experience of agentic and augmented AI adoption.
- Experience managing substantial technology budgets and third-party suppliers.
