Interim Chief Financial Officer

Our client, a private equity-backed business operating across the technical and built environment space, is seeking an Interim Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function through a period of significant growth and change.

The business is on an active buy-and-build journey. The Interim CFO will be the key financial partner to the CEO, the Board and the investor, setting the finance agenda for the next phase of the investment cycle. This is a hands-on leadership role: stabilising and professionalising reporting, building the M&A integration capability from scratch, sharpening commercial performance and leaving behind a finance team and a clear handover for a permanent successor.

Outside IR35 £1200 to £1500 Per Day

Key responsibilities

Investor and stakeholder partnering

  • Act as the primary financial partner to the PE investor, building a relationship of trust, transparency and pace
  • Work alongside the CEO and leadership team as a commercial sounding board on strategy, capital allocation and priorities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
