Role Title: Interim Chief of Staff
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly commercial and strategically minded Interim Chief of Staff to support the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in driving the successful execution of key business priorities, transformation initiatives, and organisational objectives across the Group. Acting as a central point of coordination, the Interim Chief of Staff provides decision-making support, oversees cross-functional collaboration, and ensures strategic priorities are delivered on time.
You will work closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure continuity of support to the Executive Team and the effective delivery of strategic and operational priorities. There will be opportunities to progress into other roles within the wider Group (subject to organisational requirements and individual performance).
We are open to candidates from backgrounds such as corporate/commercial law, corporate transactions, corporate finance, strategy consulting or another highly commercial professional/technical services environment who bring strong judgement, analytical capability and the confidence to operate at senior level.

- Commercial & Strategic Leadership – Partnering closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Group and business unit leaders to drive the organisation's commercial agenda, supporting strategic decision-making, evaluating growth opportunities, managing commercially significant projects and ensuring delivery against key business objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Building trusted relationships and driving projects to timelines through influence and proactive stakeholder management.
- Information Management – Filtering and communicating executive priorities to those who deliver, ensuring clarity and consistency through organisation comms plans.
- Company Communication & Investor Relations – Development and delivery of internal/external communication plans, and key messaging to support high-trust investor relationships.
- Operational Efficiency – Improving processes and compiling reports demonstrates, with a view to improved productivity and organisational effectiveness.
- Special Projects – Coordination and reporting on high level strategic initiatives, cutting through complexity to deliver business priorities.

Job responsibilities:
The Interim Chief of Staff is a strategic partner to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring alignment and execution of key initiatives, strategic priorities and business transformation activities across the Group. Interim Chief of Staff duties include, and are not limited to:
- Working with the Chief of Staff to advise the CEO and Senior Leadership on strategic direction and priorities.
- Assess the strategic, financial, and operational impacts of business decisions and initiatives, ensuring recommendations are commercially sound and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Leading and coordinating strategic projects and change initiatives.
- Managing internal and external communications, including investor relations.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across functions.
- Monitoring organisational performance and streamlining processes for efficiency.
- Supporting executive decision-making through analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, supported by exceptional attention to detail.
The post holder will be fully compliant with relevant legal requirements and all Hargreaves policies and procedures.
