Interim Chief Technology Officer | SaaS & Technology Transformation | Interim to Permanent
McCabe & Barton is working with an established UK business to appoint an Interim Chief Technology Officer, with the intention for the successful individual to transition into the permanent CTO position.
Reporting into the CEO and working closely with the wider leadership team, this is a broad technology leadership role with responsibility for shaping the future technology strategy and leading a significant programme of modernisation.
The successful candidate will inherit an established technology environment and lead its continued evolution, with a particular focus on the core SaaS platform, technology architecture, and delivery capability.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Defining and executing the technology strategy and roadmap
- Leading the modernisation and evolution of the core SaaS platform
- Driving major technology and transformation programmes
- Developing the technology operating model and internal capability
- Leading and developing the technology team
- Managing strategic technology and delivery partners
- Strengthening technology governance, security, and operational resilience
- Ensuring technology strategy supports the wider commercial objectives of the business

We are looking for an experienced CTO, Technology Director, or senior technology leader who can combine strategic leadership with the ability to get close to technology, delivery, and transformation.
Experience leading SaaS platform transformation and modernisation will be particularly relevant, ideally within a regulated or complex customer-facing environment.
The initial appointment will be on an interim basis, with a clear view to transitioning into the permanent CTO role.
