Interim Group CISO | Cyber Security, Technology Risk & AI Governance
Remote | £1,000+ per day | Interim
I’m looking to speak with experienced CISOs and senior security leaders for an interim Group CISO role with a large international professional services organisation.
Reporting to the Group CIO, you’ll lead the Group’s approach to cyber security, technology risk and governance across a complex, multi-country business.
The remit extends across security operations, supplier assurance and the safe adoption of AI. You’ll need to balance strong controls with a practical, commercial approach that helps the business adopt new technology confidently.

The Role
- Lead the Group security function, setting a clear strategy and priorities.
- Strengthen capabilities across identity, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response and cloud security.
- Simplify technology governance, with clear accountability and proportionate controls.
- Develop practical AI governance covering models, data, suppliers, applications and agents.
- Embed security into product and technology delivery, working closely with Architecture and wider technology teams.
- Strengthen third-party assurance and oversee audits, compliance and client assurance.
- Give executive leadership and the Board a clear view of material risks and investment priorities.

About You
- You’ll bring senior security leadership experience within a complex organisation, with the credibility to engage at Board level and lead teams across different countries and business units.
- Strong cyber security and technology risk expertise is essential, alongside a sound understanding of cloud, SaaS, identity and the risks associated with generative AI and agents.
- Above all, you’ll be a pragmatic, commercially minded leader who can translate risk into clear decisions and deliver improvements across the business.
