COMPANY PROFILE

An established property business is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Client Accountant to support its finance function on a specialist reconciliation and compliance project. The business manages a portfolio of property assets and requires an experienced contractor who can quickly get to grips with its existing Qube environment, enhance reconciliation processes and provide guidance to the wider finance team. This assignment will focus on strengthening client accounting controls, ensuring reconciliations are completed accurately and establishing robust processes that can be maintained internally going forward.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a delivery-focused interim assignment requiring someone with strong property/client accounting experience and extensive hands-on knowledge of Qube. A key focus will be reviewing and implementing monthly reconciliation processes across client bank accounts, the Qube cash book and nominal ledger, ensuring balances are accurately reconciled and supported by appropriate controls and documentation. The successful candidate will be expected to identify issues, resolve discrepancies, establish best practice procedures and train the finance team on the ongoing reconciliation process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of client accounting and reconciliation activity across the property portfolio.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations between client bank accounts, Qube cash book and nominal ledger.
  • Review and implement robust monthly reconciliation processes within Qube.
  • Investigate reconciliation discrepancies and identify the root causes of unreconciled balances.
  • Correct accounting entries and ensure transactions are accurately reflected within the system.
  • Support accurate monthly bank and client money reconciliations.
  • Ensure accounting processes and controls are appropriate for a property management environment.
  • Work closely with the existing finance and property teams to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve current accounting and reconciliation processes.
  • Document new procedures, controls and reconciliation methodologies.
  • Train and support the finance team on ongoing reconciliation requirements and best practice.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to ensure processes remain effective following completion of the assignment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
