Interim Clinical Manager (NMC Registered)

Cornwall (Accommodation Provided) | 3-6 month contract

Panoramic Associates is supporting a care home in Cornwall to appoint an Interim Clinical Manager for an initial 3-6 month assignment. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced clinical lead who can quickly stabilise and strengthen clinical standards, governance, and team performance.

Accommodation is provided for the duration of the contract (details to be confirmed based on availability).

The role

Reporting into the Registered Manager, you'll take day-to-day responsibility for clinical delivery across the home, ensuring safe, compliant, and person-centred care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing visible clinical leadership across the service, supporting nurses and care teams
  • Maintaining high standards of clinical practice, medication management, and care planning
  • Driving quality assurance activity (audits, action plans, learning from incidents)
  • Supporting safeguarding, risk management and incident investigation where required
  • Coaching and mentoring staff, supporting competence and confidence on shift
  • Strengthening documentation, clinical pathways and governance processes
  • Working collaboratively with families, external professionals and commissioners
  • Supporting the home with inspection readiness and improvement planning where needed

What we're looking for

  • NMC registered (RN Adult/RGN or RMN) with strong clinical leadership experience in a care home environment
  • Recent experience as a Clinical Manager / Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager (clinical) in a nursing home setting
  • Strong knowledge of CQC, clinical governance, medication best practice and safeguarding
  • Confident leading teams, influencing culture, and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to start at short notice (or within an agreed timeframe) and commit to an interim contract
