Senior Legal Counsel - 12 Month FTC
Start: September
Contract: 12 Months
Location: Tyne & Wear/ Hybrid
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused lawyer to join a growing international organisation during a significant period of strategic growth. Working as part of a collaborative legal team, you will support a range of high-value projects across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on tender activity, commercial agreements, strategic initiatives and corporate transactions. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence key business decisions.

- Advising on tender and procurement opportunities.
- Reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Supporting strategic projects and corporate transactions.
- Providing practical, risk-based legal advice to business stakeholders.
- Managing external legal advisers.
- Supporting governance and compliance activities.
- Conducting legal risk assessments and recommending mitigation strategies.
About You
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with approximately 3-5+ years' PQE.
- Experience in commercial, corporate, projects or procurement law.
- Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Experience supporting complex transactions and managing legal risk.
