About the job
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join a leading UK law firm on an interim basis. You will work within an established Risk & Compliance function, providing practical legal advice across commercial contracts, regulatory matters, data protection, and wider business risk.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative legal environment, supporting a broad range of stakeholders and playing a key role in managing contractual and compliance risk during a busy period.
Key Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Initial 3 Months
- Working Pattern: Full-Time
- Location: London/Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office)
- Rate: Daily Rate DOE

Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing, analysing, and advising on a range of commercial agreements to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
- Assisting with the review, drafting, and updating of terms of business and related contractual documentation.
- Supporting on data-related queries, contractual provisions, and compliance considerations.
- Providing legal advice and practical guidance to internal stakeholders on risk and compliance matters.
- Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met effectively and efficiently.
- Assisting with the review and development of internal risk and compliance procedures where required.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years’ post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience reviewing, negotiating, and advising on commercial agreements.
- Demonstrable experience supporting risk, compliance, or governance functions.
- Experience drafting and reviewing terms of business and associated client engagement documentation.
- Good understanding of data protection principles and data-related contractual provisions.
