Interim Commercial & Copyright Lawyer (12-Month Contract)
Paris | Hybrid (3 days office-based)
A leading global technology company is seeking an experienced Commercial & Copyright Lawyer to join its Paris-based legal team on a 12-month interim basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-profile business area focused on content partnerships, digital publishing, and emerging AI initiatives. Working closely with legal and commercial stakeholders, you will manage a broad range of commercial agreements, advise on day-to-day legal matters, and support the launch of innovative new programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial and copyright-related agreements.
- Manage existing legal workstreams and commercial relationships from inception through to completion.
- Support the development and implementation of new content and technology partnership programmes.
- Provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders on contractual, commercial, and risk-related matters.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks while enabling commercial objectives.
- Work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer, ideally under French law.
- Professional working proficiency in French and English.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Exposure to copyright, intellectual property, content licensing, or media-related agreements would be highly advantageous.
- Comfortable operating autonomously and managing matters end-to-end.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and solutions-focused.
- Available to work on-site in Paris three days per week.

This role would suit a mid-level commercial lawyer from a technology, media, digital platform, publishing, or content-focused environment looking to join a globally recognised organisation at the forefront of innovation, content partnerships, and AI-driven initiatives.
Location: Paris (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office) (but can entertain UK based candidates if they have an adequate understanding of French law)
Duration: 12-month contract
