Global Accounting Network is partnering with a leading global events business in the search for an Interim Commercial Finance Manager to join the team on a 7-month contract covering paternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a fast-paced organisation at the heart of the live events industry. You'll partner closely with the Live Events, Live Experiences and Marketing teams, providing financial insight across a diverse portfolio of projects while leading a small finance team.

If you thrive in a project-based environment and enjoy partnering with operational stakeholders to drive commercial performance, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the financial settlement and reconciliation process across a portfolio of live events and experiences.
  • Review event P&Ls, ensuring revenue and costs are accurately recorded and fully understood.
  • Investigate and explain variances between budgets, forecasts and actual performance.
  • Partner with Live Events, Marketing, Production, Ticketing and Operational teams to support commercial decision-making.
  • Deliver post-event profitability reviews and financial analysis.
  • Maintain rolling forecasts across multiple projects and ensure forecasts remain accurate and up to date.
  • Produce regular performance reporting, financial commentary and actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Support month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations and gross profit reporting.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and clear audit trails are maintained.
  • Support overseas entities and project accounting activities where required.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to a small finance team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
