Interim Commercial Manager

UK Grocery Retail

£500-600 per day plus expenses inside IR35
East Midlands

Looking for your next interim contract? This role gives you full ownership of a major grocery account while supporting another key retailer, with plenty of scope to make an impact quickly. You’ll shape customer plans, lead negotiations, drive distribution and help deliver strong branded growth across a fast-moving category.

You’ll work closely with a Commercial Controller and a cross-functional team, keeping things moving at pace and making sure launches, promotions and plans land well in store. A great business! We know this from feedback from other placements in the business who find the supportive culture and teamwork ethos a huge benefit to the overall environment. You will be hands-on so need to be self-sufficient and able to hit the ground running in this autonomous role.

Hybrid role - ideally three days a week in the office

What you’ll be doing

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
