Commercial Solicitor (2-7 PQE) | 6-Month Interim Contract | Berkshire (Hybrid)

A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a Commercial Solicitor to join its established Commercial & Technology team on an initial six-month contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base ranging from multinational organisations and UK headquarters of international businesses through to fast-growing entrepreneurial companies.

The team acts as trusted external counsel to many clients, advising on a broad range of commercial, technology and data-related matters across a variety of sectors including technology, media, retail, hospitality and leisure.

The Opportunity

You will advise on a wide variety of commercial and technology-focused matters, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, often with an international element
  • Technology agreements including SaaS, cloud services, software development, hosting and AI-related arrangements
  • Digital media and e-commerce matters
  • Data protection and privacy advice
  • Consumer law issues
  • Marketing, advertising and sponsorship agreements
  • Intellectual property protection, commercialisation and licensing
  • Data licensing and commercialisation projects
  • Supporting corporate transactions, acquisitions and restructurings with specialist commercial expertise

About You

  • Strong commercial contracts experience gained in private practice or in-house
  • A solid understanding of areas including contract law, data protection, intellectual property and consumer law
  • Exposure to technology, digital media or data-driven businesses
  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • The ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to client service
  • An interest in emerging areas such as AI and technology regulation
