Interim commercial technology counsel (remote) - 4 Days Per Week
MLA is working on an exciting interim Legal Counsel opportunity with a fast-growing, publicly listed technology business operating at the intersection of sports data, digital markets and fintech.
The organisation provides critical data and analytics products to a global customer base and is expanding into new, high-growth sectors. They operate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with a genuinely international footprint across Europe and North America.
The Role
This is a broad commercial legal position supporting European operations and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

The successful lawyer will advise on a variety of matters including:
- Commercial contracts
- Technology and IP issues
- Data privacy
- Regulatory and compliance matters
- Corporate governance and entity management
- General day-to-day legal support for European operations
You'll join a lean, highly visible legal team where lawyers are expected to provide concise, commercial and practical advice that helps the business move quickly and make decisions.

- Approximately 2-7 PQE (guideline only)
- Prior in-house experience is essential
- Commercially minded and pragmatic
- Confident dealing directly with senior management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humour
- Someone who can build relationships quickly and operate with a high degree of autonomy
This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys working closely with the business, prefers practical solutions over lengthy legal analysis, and thrives in a non-hierarchical, high-growth culture.
