Interim Compliance Transformation Lead

HW Solutions are partnering with a regulated financial services organisation to appoint an experienced Interim Compliance Transformation Lead during an important period of change and development.

Our client is undertaking a review of its Compliance capability and operating model, with a particular focus on creating a more effective, proportionate and sustainable approach for the future.

This is a transformation focused assignment rather than a traditional BAU Compliance leadership role. The successful individual will assess the current environment, identify opportunities for improvement and lead the delivery of meaningful change across the function and wider business.

The Role Working closely with senior leadership, you will:

  • Assess the existing Compliance operating model, governance, processes and capability.
  • Lead a programme of Compliance transformation and simplification.
  • Review governance structures and ways of working, identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and improve efficiency.
  • Strengthen first-line ownership and accountability for regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure Consumer Duty requirements are effectively understood and embedded.
  • Contribute to the development of the future Risk and Compliance operating model.
  • Identify capability requirements and help establish a sustainable approach for the longer term.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, influencing and engaging senior stakeholders throughout the transformation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
