Interim Consumer Credit & Lending Counsel – London (Hybrid) – Immediate Start
We at AG Integrate are excited to be recruiting for an experienced lawyer with deep expertise in consumer credit secured lending to support a leading Financial Services client. This is a senior role combining specialist legal advice, product support and day to day leadership of the in-house legal team.
The role remit includes:
- Leading on lending legal work, including supporting its app-based secured lending proposition, and taking ownership of a key lending build.
- Advising on consumer credit and secured lending matters.
- Running the legal sub-function and acting as a senior point of contact for stakeholders.
- Working closely with senior leadership and the wider business to provide clear, commercial and risk-based legal advice in a fast-moving financial services environment.
This is an excellent interim opportunity for a senior financial services lawyer who enjoys combining strategic product support with hands-on legal team leadership. The role will particularly suit someone with non-negotiable depth in consumer credit and secured lending, who is comfortable operating autonomously, making pragmatic decisions and being on the ground in London for approximately three days per week.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
