Interim Junior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Private M&A)
MLA is partnering with a FTSE-listed international business at the forefront of digital learning, assessment and workforce development to appoint an Interim Junior Legal Counsel.
This is a highly commercial role sitting within a collaborative in-house legal team, supporting a significant pipeline of strategic transactions and corporate projects. The successful candidate will play a key role advising on private M&A activity across multiple jurisdictions, partnering closely with corporate development, finance and senior business stakeholders.

This opportunity would suit a lawyer who enjoys being close to decision-making, influencing transaction strategy and driving deals through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on domestic and cross-border private M&A transactions.
- Leading and supporting acquisitions, investments, disposals and joint ventures.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation.
- Coordinating legal due diligence exercises and managing risk assessments.
- Working closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Supporting broader corporate and strategic initiatives across the business.

About You
- 1 – 5 PQE England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent).
- Strong corporate transactional experience gained within a leading law firm and/or sophisticated in-house legal team.
- Significant experience advising on private M&A transactions.
- Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
