The role
We are looking for an experienced Interim Credit Control Manager to lead and strengthen our credit control function during a 3–6 month assignment. You must be immediately available, commercially minded, highly organised and confident in engaging professionally and assertively with clients and internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on improving processes, enhancing reporting and supporting efficient cash collection.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the credit control process across the firm.
- Drive timely collection of outstanding debts and reduce aged WIP and debt.
- Review, map and improve existing credit control workflows and templates.
- Introduce practical process improvements, reporting and controls.
- Work closely with Finance Partners, fee earners and senior stakeholders.
- Support a professional, client-focused approach to debt recovery.

About you
- Proven credit control management experience, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
- Tech-savvy and confident using finance systems, reporting tools and process automation.
- Process-driven, proactive and able to identify and implement improvements quickly.
- Professional, resilient and appropriately assertive in stakeholder and client communications.
- Able to provide strong, relevant client references.
This is a fully remote, outside IR35 engagement with a supportive firm and the opportunity to make an immediate, meaningful impact.
