Interim Data Protection Officer / Senior Privacy Lawyer – Contract
We are currently supporting a leading organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) or Senior Privacy Lawyer to join the team on a long-term contract basis. The requirement has arisen due to changes within the team, and the successful individual will play a key role in providing senior-level privacy and data protection expertise while helping to develop and improve the organisation’s privacy framework and processes.
The Role
This is a hands-on, commercially focused privacy role that would suit someone who combines strong technical data protection knowledge with a practical, solutions-oriented approach. You will be responsible for advising the business on a broad range of privacy and data protection matters, while also helping to build, improve and embed effective processes across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
