Interim Data Protection Specialist

3–6 Months Initially

Surrey / Hybrid

ASAP Start

We are recruiting for an experienced Data Protection Specialist to join a growing organisation on an interim basis.

This is a hands-on operational role focused on managing Subject Access Requests (SARs), supporting GDPR compliance and improving data protection processes. This is not a strategic lead position; we are looking for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, managing requests and delivering practical privacy support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end SAR process, ensuring accurate and timely responses
  • Handle other data subject rights requests, including erasure and restriction requests
  • Review information, apply redactions and assess exemptions under UK GDPR
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting
  • Support DPIAs, data breaches and privacy compliance activities
  • Provide practical data protection advice to stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline privacy processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
