Interim Director of People & Organisational Development Opportunity at ActionAid UK

Contract: 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Hybrid, London | Flexible Working Supported

Are you a senior People leader who thrives on shaping organisations for the future?

ActionAid UK is seeking an exceptional Interim Director of People & Organisational Development to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead an ambitious people and organisational development agenda.

This is a rare opportunity to influence organisation-wide change within a global women's rights organisation, helping to ensure our people, systems, structures and culture are equipped to deliver our ambitious strategy.

What you'll be leading:

  • Organisational design and workforce planning
  • Development of a transparent pay framework
  • Modernisation of HR systems, technology and people processes
  • Leadership, learning and organisational capability
  • Strategic employee relations and trade union engagement
  • Safeguarding and organisational culture
  • Embedding anti-racist, decolonial and feminist ways of working

About you

We're looking for a strategic, values-led leader with experience of:

  • Leading organisational development and people functions at a senior level
  • Delivering large-scale organisational change and transformation
  • Building strong relationships with Executive teams, Boards and Trade Unions
  • Reward, workforce planning and organisational design
  • HR systems implementation, integration and modernisation
  • Creating inclusive, equitable and high-performing workplace cultures
