Interim Director of People & Organisational Development Opportunity at ActionAid UK
Contract: 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Hybrid, London | Flexible Working Supported
Are you a senior People leader who thrives on shaping organisations for the future?
ActionAid UK is seeking an exceptional Interim Director of People & Organisational Development to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead an ambitious people and organisational development agenda.
This is a rare opportunity to influence organisation-wide change within a global women's rights organisation, helping to ensure our people, systems, structures and culture are equipped to deliver our ambitious strategy.
What you'll be leading:
- Organisational design and workforce planning
- Development of a transparent pay framework
- Modernisation of HR systems, technology and people processes
- Leadership, learning and organisational capability
- Strategic employee relations and trade union engagement
- Safeguarding and organisational culture
- Embedding anti-racist, decolonial and feminist ways of working

About you
We're looking for a strategic, values-led leader with experience of:
- Leading organisational development and people functions at a senior level
- Delivering large-scale organisational change and transformation
- Building strong relationships with Executive teams, Boards and Trade Unions
- Reward, workforce planning and organisational design
- HR systems implementation, integration and modernisation
- Creating inclusive, equitable and high-performing workplace cultures
