Interim Director of Process Transformation (Contract)

Length: circa 6 months
Location: hybrid, London based client
Start: ASAP, must be immediately available

About us

hedgehog lab is a UK digital product consultancy and certified B Corp, with 20 years of experience and teams across Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and London.
We're placing an interim leader inside an established UK organisation going through a major delivery transformation.

The role

Today the organisation works through specialist hand-offs. Your job is to move it to end-to-end delivery, where feature teams own work from design through to release.
You'll own process redesign and rollout, prove the new way of working through live delivery, and coach the leaders who keep it running after you leave. Success is a clean handover: the client's own people owning the model, with the playbook and measures in place.
The delivery model here is AI-enabled. Teams use approved AI tools in everyday build, review and release work, and part of your job is making that a normal, well-governed part of how they deliver.
You won't do this alone. You'll sit in a small embedded team with senior governance behind you, working alongside an interim technical leader on the same programme.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll own

Baseline: map how work flows across live projects and surface hand-offs, dependencies and risks.
Design: set role boundaries, decision rights, working agreements and end-to-end quality ownership.
Prove: run the new model through live teams and sprints.
Embed: coach leads, measure adoption, capture the playbook and hand ownership to the client.
You'll also run a weekly delivery rhythm with the technical lead, reviewing risk, capacity and dependencies, ringfencing critical work and resolving where transformation competes with business as usual.
Outputs: a current-state process map, a target operating model, a rollout plan and a handover playbook.
