About the job
We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a global organisation on an interim basis. You will provide commercially focused employment law advice to the UK business, alongside supporting international employment matters across EMEA and APAC.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and friendly in-house legal team and play a key role in supporting the business across a broad range of employment matters, including organisational change, HR projects and international employee issues.
Key Details
- Start Date: End September/Early October
- Duration: Initial 3 months
- Working Pattern: Part-Time (2-3 days per week)
- Location: Fully remote (Optional office attendance in London)
- Rate: £Hourly Rate
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day UK employment law advice to HR and business stakeholders
- Advising on and supporting settlement agreements and other employee relations matters
- Supporting the business in relation to the Employment Rights Act 2025 and associated changes to UK employment law
- Advising on HR consultation and employee communications in connection with projects such as Workday implementation
- Supporting potential HR-related M&A matters, including post-separation employment issues and transitional services arrangements
- Reviewing and approving separation agreements across all regions outside the US, working closely with local HR teams, with a particular focus on EMEA and APAC
- Providing employment law support on global projects, including restructurings and organisational change
- Advising on HR investigations and employee relations matters where required
- Working collaboratively with HR, Legal and wider business stakeholders to identify and manage employment-related legal risk

Requirements

- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience, specialising in employment law
- Previous international employment law experience, particularly across EMEA is essential
- Previous in-house experience is preferred
- Experience working with HR teams and advising on a broad range of employee relations and employment matters
- Experience supporting restructuring, organisational change and/or M&A-related employment matters
- Strong experience with settlement agreements and UK employment advisory work
- Comfortable operating independently within an in-house employment law role, while working collaboratively with the wider Legal and HR teams
- Comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and collaborating with local HR teams across EMEA and APAC
