Interim Exit Support
Location: Reading
Working Model: Hybrid (2 days p/week in office)
Rate: £500–£700 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract: 6-9 month contract
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a private equity-backed insurance business (c.200m revenue) to appoint an Interim Exit Support to support preparations for a forthcoming exit process.
Working closely with the CFO, executive leadership team, private equity investors, and external advisers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business is fully prepared for a successful transaction. This is a highly commercial and visible position, sitting at the centre of the exit workstream and acting as a key bridge between internal stakeholders and external advisers.
The successful candidate will combine strong transaction experience with a deep understanding of the insurance sector and will be comfortable operating within a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation, organisation, and ongoing management of the transaction data room.
- Coordinating information requests from advisers, lenders, and prospective investors throughout the exit process.
- Supporting vendor due diligence workstreams and ensuring financial information is transaction-ready.
- Partnering with corporate finance advisers, financial due diligence providers, legal advisers, and other external stakeholders.
- Developing and enhancing financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis to support transaction decision-making.
- Supporting management presentations, investor materials, and bidder information requests.
- Working closely with the CFO and leadership team to identify and address potential diligence issues ahead of process launch.
- Coordinating internal workstreams across finance, operations, commercial, compliance, and risk functions.
- Supporting value creation initiatives and helping articulate the investment story to prospective buyers.
- Assisting with transaction execution activities through to completion.

About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- ACA qualification gained within a Big 4 or leading advisory firm.
- Experience within Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence, Deal Advisory, Corporate Finance, or a similar transaction-focused environment.
- Prior insurance sector experience is essential.
- Experience supporting private equity-backed businesses, transactions, refinancing processes, or exit events.
- Strong understanding of due diligence processes and transaction execution.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate effectively under tight deadlines.
